Volunteer for Staff

Florida Model Legislature takes pride in its volunteer staff. This is a year round commitment where you learn about the legislative process in Florida, and receive training on being a leader. If you think you have what it takes to lead in Florida Model Legislature, apply! We encourage previous FML and other legislative simulations' participants to apply.

If you think you have what it takes to be a leader in the Florida House, Senate, Press Corps, or Lobby Corps, then we highly encourage you to apply for conference leadership.

Positions will be selected after the conference. The positions available are:
  • Senate President
  • House Speaker
  • House Clerk
  • Senate Secretary
  • Chief Lobbyist
  • Editor and Chief of the Press

Run for Governor

The Role of the Governor is very difficult to fulfill. You will work long hours, travel to other conferences, face the media, legislators, and lobbyist, make hard decisions on vetoing or signing legislation, and much more.
