St. Petersburg College Model U.S. Congress

"All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

Join St. Petersburg College as we host our first Model U.S. Congress, on March 21-22, 2014, at the Clearwater campus. Training workshops to prepare attendees will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Downtown campus and Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Clearwater campus. Students in attendance will learn the function of the legislative branch of our federal government by:
  • Writing legislation
  • Debating contemporary issues
  • Making deals with fellow House and Senate members
  • Voting on bills
