Preparation Page

There is no one correct way to prepare for Florida Model Legislature. You must research state issues and the issues that effect your district, constituents, and attentive newsreaders.  If you are a legislator, you must understand the demographics of your District and the state, don't forget that you have been elected by your constituents. Lobbyist must view their position as one which is persuasive, while also representing the group which hired you to lobby. The press keep a vigilant eye on all actors of the conference, whether the executive or legislative branch, or the lobbyist who are active in committees and assisting legislators.  We believe that you should act as a trustee of your constituents and remind yourself throughout your preparation and at the conference that: "You've been elected by the people because, you were the best option to represent them because of what you believe."
