The power of the Executive Branch is vested in the Governor of Florida, who also acts as head of state and commander-in-chief of all military forces of the state not in active service of the United States. The governor is also the chief administrative officer of the state responsible for the planning and budgeting for the state. The Governor is assisted by the Florida Cabinet. The Cabinet is composed of the Governor, The Attorney General (elected at-large), The Chief Financial Officer (elected at-large), and the Commission of Agriculture (elected at-large). The Governor and Cabinet are responsible for the executive agencies of the state as well as implementing and enforcing the laws written by the legislature.
