Bridgette Wagner was born March 24, 1991 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Although born a south Floridian, she managed to make her way to Ocala, Florida where she started and continued her education. After graduating from high school with honors, Bridgette realized that the community college track was right for her and enrolled at what was then Central Florida Community College. She became involved on campus instantly by being elected as the Vice President of the Student Activities Board for both her Freshman and Sophomore years. Bridgette also served as the State Secretary of the Florida Junior Community College Student Government Association (FJCCSGA) for 2010-2011. She recently graduated, from what is now the College of Central Florida, as a member of Phi Theta Kappa with an Associate of Arts degree in communications. She was accepted into the University of Central Florida where she is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts in radio-television with a minor in political science. Bridgette again wasted no time getting involved on campus and joined the College Republicans club and the Radio-Television Digital News Association. Bridgette has been involved with the Florida Model Legislature (FML) as a press corp member for the past two years. She has received the Most Outstanding Press Corp and Distinguished Press Corp awards during her time at FML. Bridgette is pursing a career in the world of politics with the hopes of entering into the field of political broadcast television. One of Bridgette's political idols is Jim Crammer from CNBC's Mad Money, she looks forward to meeting him in person some day. As the Florida Model Legislature Editor in Chief, Bridgette is excited about visiting Tallahassee again, and leading the press corp as the 2012 FML session takes off. | Role of the Editor in ChiefThe Editor in Chief works directly with the Director of the Press Corps to ensure that the press corps are active from the beginning of the conference to the end. He/She write pieces using the methods prescribed on the Press Corps page. The Editor in Chief will also assist the director in editing pieces before they are publish. The role also entails writing pieces before and after the conference as platforms and positions are filled.
